Welcome!

Welcome to my blog!  I am Fran.  I am a teacher of 20 four year olds during the week.  On the weekends, I like to read, sew, and quilt.  About 6 months ago, I left the only place I knew of as home and moved three hours away (across the state) toward my dream job (teaching).  We now live in the growing town of Bluffton, South Carolina.  We are really enjoying the area and the weather so far.

Philip and I have been married for three years.  We have two pugs, Tank and Tucker.  Just last week, Philip got a new job offer here and we are very excited to see where it may take us.  He will also continue to go to school, though online now.  I am so proud of him and the hard work he has put in to help me realize my dream of becoming a teacher.

I decided to name my blog The Obsessive Quilter because those who know me would say I am quite obsessive, especially when it comes to quilting.  I want every seam to match up and every stitch to be perfect (although it does not always happen).

One of my favorite quilts, though it is very small.  Made with Amy Butler fabric.
I want to use this blog to document things that are going on in our lives as well as different quilts and projects that I make.  I am excited to get started, but there is one little problem.  I lost my camera a few weeks ago.  Philip was gracious enough to let me use the last of our Amazon.com credit from textbooks to buy a new camera!  I can't wait for it to get here to share some other things.

Hope you will visit my blog again!
